Pond Sealing

We are utilizing a non-toxic, innovative pond dam sealer from Shalex Industries out of Australia. A powder will be applied to the surface approximately 80 feet long and 20 feet wide in front of the dam. This powder instantly forms a gel that sinks to the bottom, collecting sediment along the way, and utilizing hydrostatic pressure to find and fill leaks along the base of the dam. This will be applied in late March as soon as water temps are consistently above 45 degrees, and the sealer is expected to last approximately 5 years before having to be re-applied.

Pond Water Health

We have arranged for pond water treatment utilizing (2) biospheres that will be dropped into the deepest areas of the pond, along with a liquid surface treatment. The biospheres will naturally break down, providing healthy algae to combat problem algae, creating a better habitat for wildlife, and clearer, more beautiful water.

Bylaws & Covenant Updates

We are currently updating our corporate bylaws and POA covenants to better align with the growth of our neighborhood since inception. Included in this in-depth and tedious (but important) project is the addition of a liability waiver for all activities on POA property and facilities, and a Fiduciary Responsibility Attestation for all board members, among other updates. These changes will be presented to the entire membership for a vote before being enacted, stay tuned for more info!

Monument Spruce Up

We will be giving the letters on the Oakwood Hills Estates monument at the top of Quiet Meadows Drive a fresh coat of black paint, and planting seasonal color with fresh mulch for the spring.
